literacy test?

Dear Mr. Tancredo,
I am reading something on the web, which says that you suggest a test to
qualify a person to vote in presidential elections to "protect" us from the
misfortune of having a president like Obama.
A literacy test may well have resulted in MORE votes for candidate Obama.
Please note how highly educated and intelligent he is. This is why I voted
for him, as did so many of my "white collar" friends and associates. I
believe it was the more
uneducated who voted for his opponents. And it was their right
to do so, incidentally. You may remember something in our constitution
about us all being "created equal." You might just keep that ideal near and
dear to your heart, since you are in public service.
