I'm a wise, white, well educated woman who lived through the civil rights years.  I remember my grandparents talking in very nasty terms about the I - talians and others with unAmerican names, who didn't  belong in our town and certainly could never be invited to our home.  After all people with those names must be dirty and not "out kind of people".  These attitudes and words always confused me since many times they said these things after  being in  church...

god forgive you, mr. tancredo, for your racism and frankly, in my opinion, stupidity.
