Subject: Uninformed comments at 'Tea Party' convention in Nashville for the 'depressed,' the 'insane,' and the 'unpatriotic'

Tom Tancredo's grandparents immigrated to America from Italy.  It is stunning to hear his insane comments about our Democracy, based on a 'Judeo-Christian'' faith and traditional American values.

This country was not built on Judeo-Christian beliefs, but this country was built on a belief in a Deity!  Legal Scholar William Lee Miller writes that the chief founders of the nation were all Deists -  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Ben Franklin, James Madison, Hamilton and Paine.  Many more leaders of the founding era could be added - Benjamin Rush, John Witherspon, David Rittenhouse, Philip Freneau, Joel Barlow, Aaron Burr, James Wilson, Gouverneur Morris, Tench Coxe, to name some.

When Alexis de Tocqueville wrote DEMOCRACY IN AMERICA , translated into English in 1835, he wrote about a democracy created by Protestants and Deists for Protestant and Deists.   He would weep to see the denigration of our Democracy because of immigration today! (As demonstrated by Tom Tancredo)

The earliest reference to  "Judeo-Christian" wasn't until 1957, and it wasn't until 1960 that "Judeo-Christian" appeared.  The term "Judeo-Christian" is overused and misused.  This is one of the means that Jews used to blend into our culture.

Tom Tancredo would fail a literacy test based on his comments.  Of course Tom Tancredo supported the Vietnam War, but advised a doctor that he had been treated for depression and eventually got a "1-Y deferment.

The reason for coming to the colonies in the 1600s for many was to avoid 'organized religion,' especially Catholic.  My Scot/Irish people came to the colonies to avoid brutal conflicts with Irish Catholics.  We founded AMERICA - HOME OF THE BRAVE AND LAND OF THE FREE!  My relative John Hart signed the 'Declaration of Independence' and my 5-greats grandfather was a hero during the Revolutionary War.  There were no Italians, no Jew, no Irish Catholics, no Asians, no Cubans fighting for our country in the Revolutionary War but there were African Americans.  So perhaps African Americans should insist that Tom Tancredo return to his Italian grandparents' country.  I suspect they did not speak English when they immigrated to our country.

Tom Tancredo has had treatment for 'depression.'  Now he needs treatment for 'insanity'!

  1. Delphia,

It appears you have been suffering some kind of breakdown. Please seek help immediately. The Jewish contributions to the Revolutionary war are broad and wide (http://jewsinamerica.com/). You can re-write history to your heart's content, it will not make it true.

Also, repeating things over and over and over is a sign of insanity according to campaign speeches made by Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Perhaps you should seek help.
