Subject: your tea party convention speech
Dear Mr. Tancredo,
In a recent speech you gave to tea party convention attendants you suggested that many people who voted for President Obama could not spell the word "vote" nor say it in English.
I have a masters degree in English and voted for him, but I know you weren't referring to people like me when you made that remark.  Nevertheless, your remark was horrific.
This country was founded by immigrants and people who came here to escape religious and political persecution.  They have continued to come here because this is still a nation that respects difference and seeks to help the disenfranchized and victims of injustice.  For you to imply that President Obama is not an American citizen and that he was somehow elected to office by a cadre of illegal, ignorant immigrants is racist and, frankly, unpatriotic.

  1. Brian,
I'll bet you had one of those "Dissent is Ptriotic" stickers on your car and bike during the entire Bush Presidency.

Um, and it was Michelle Obama that said She and Barak visited Kenya, his "Home country".

    Cheers,
    Dan
