Your speech to the tea baggers

Subject: Your speech to the tea baggers
Mr. Tancredo:

Tom Tancredo opened what's being billed as the first Tea Party Convention with a bang.

The former congressman from Colorado and 2008 Republican presidential candidate blasted President Obama, saying "people who could not even spell the word 'vote', or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House. His name is Barack Hussein Obama."

Your comments are disgusting.  You lie with your inflammatory speech and you should be ashamed of yourself.   As one of the people who proudly helped put President Obama in the White House, I can assure you that I can spell the word “vote,” that I can say in English and that I’ve proudly done it now for 30 years, since I turned 18.

To characterize Obama’s supporters as a bunch of illiterate and presumably immigrants (illegal or not) is outrageous.

I own a small business, I earn plenty of money and I grew up in Colorado, attending public schools in Denver and graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  And I supported Obama.

You’re small minded, xenophobic, racist and, frankly, sickening.  I can’t imagine how you lay your head down on the pillow to sleep at night.

But, I’m going to call you out when you make false statements like the one above.  Grow up.  Drop the incendiary rhetoric.
And if you can’t, go crawl back under the rock you crawled out of to deliver that grotesque speech.
